EMIRATES JOINED THE UAE RESEARCH CONSORTIUM ON RENEWABLE AND ADVANCED AIRCRAFT FUELS
According to the airline, on the sidelines of the Third International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Conference on Aviation and Alternative Fuels (CAAF/3) in Dubai, eight founding companies announced the launch of the Air-CRAFT initiative on the UAE's Year of Sustainable Development. Air-CRAFT is a UAE-based research consortium focused on developing, manufacturing and scaling sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) technologies.

IATA: GLOBAL AIR CARGO GROWTH BY 1.9% IN SEPTEMBER
Global air cargo volumes increased by 1.9% year-on-year in September.

“Freight showed moderate growth of 1.9% in September, despite falling trade volumes and high jet fuel prices. This clearly demonstrates the strong competitive offer in the air cargo market,” IATA Director General Willie Walsh said in a statement.

The European Parliament (EP) has approved new legislation aimed at increasing the use of clean fuels such as advanced biofuels or hydrogen in the aviation sector. The new rules for aviation - RefuelEU - were approved on Wednesday at the EP plenary session in Strasbourg with 518 votes in favor, 97 votes against, and eight abstentions.

KAZAKHSTAN HAS INTRODUCED A MONTH BAN ON THE IMPORT OF RUSSIAN AIRCRAFT FUEL
The Kazakhstan Railway (KTZ) has introduced a month-long convention ban on the transportation of kerosene and jet fuel from all stations of the Russian Railways (RZD) to all stations in Kazakhstan, as follows from a fax from the Directorate of the Council for Railway Transport of the CIS Member Countries (CSZT). It is noted that the ban was introduced following a request from KTZ dated June 8.
